I painted this shadowbox, added the flowers and moss. Made the mouse and her outfit (what a pain-in-the-butt, I'm not a seamstress and this was a tiny dress!) I gave this piece to a lady that lifted my spirit and inspired me to not give up hope. Thank you Joyce! "Glaidenphair Book 5"
Love all those scenary and of course the mouse. The mouse lives in the world so nicely. I can see how tough it must be to make the cloths for the mouse.

I did one such a fellow for my brother who loves pigs- I called him Hubert Hoggley, the mayor of Truffletown- formerly known as the Boar About Town! Unfortunately, I never got a picture of him...I've yet to do another such character, but would love to do so again! Your idea would be a nice one...

Kinda what I always have in mind with nearly all that I do....If you visit my site you can read a few of my back stories- though they are a bit expository. I write as well as sculpt, and am equally as unknown for both!

LOL!!!! LOL!!!! Okay, I don't mean to keep laughing...but you're killin' me!
It seems that "Fantasy" like Brian Froud/Fairy/Troll fantasy only exist with artists. There's a big Fairy fan club, but where are the movies? Where are the books? Shirely Barber is an outstanding illustrator/author, where's her tv show? I've found Britain to be the best at putting out wonderful animations like "Little Grey Rabbit, Brambly Hedge, the Beatrix Potter series...and so on...but it's not enough. I look at the USA and just see crap...pola...LOL!
Oh no, don't appologize- I have to admit that I try purposely to make folks laugh- my wife is the same way! Even when I'm whining, if I can get a laugh out of it, I'll do it! Pathetic really
No I agree, there seems to be a big fan base for this stuff, but Hollywood USA is completely out of touch with that demographic, or they don't care. Same with publishers or their backers. I've tried repetedly to get David Riche interested in doing a 3D art version of his Art of Faeries, and he's returned all my e-mails answered, but either he isn't really interested or he can't get any of his backers or the publishers interested...oh well. I'll keep plugging away, and if nothing else, I'll entertain myself! Sad really... crazy:

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
